Winter Entertaining; it’s getting cold out there

With Melbourne Meteorology forecasting an extra cold, wet winter this year Harry the hirer have shared their furnishing and colour ideas to warm up your winter event

Cocktail party and pre-dinner drink seating

The neutral tones of Metropolis, towering floor to ceiling windows and versatile spaces provide the perfect backdrop for intimate gatherings with an eclectic selection of lounges, ottomans, coffee tables, feature chairs, cushions, drinks trolleys and of course cocktail tables and stools. Suitably spaced furniture fashions wonderful clusters of lounge pods, high and low dining and varied seating styles.

Discordant shapes and finish

To create a sense of sophistication and warmth we suggest velvet fabric finishes in black, olive and accent mustard hues with gold metallic trims. Throw a mix of mustard velvet and black leather cushions on the couches and signature chairs.

Winter range

The layered effect of different shapes, textures and finishes creates interest and intrigue. It will break up your floor plan and make large spaces feel friendly. Our warm colours add an earthiness and sense of comfort and familiarity. Inter-mingle the Luca armchair in mustard with a couple of Hugo mustard couches and another pod of Harrison olive armchairs and lounges to create the perfect cocktail lounge. Finish the look with our Ava marble topped side tables.

Time for a cocktail

For a little cheeky fun and engagement a drinks trolley filled with negroni’s, espresso martini’s or a selection of Winter warming whiskies can be manoeuvred easily through the room by a dedicated waiter. Our knowledgeable bar staff can make cocktails to order as they circulate. Without doubt a martini or two will warm up the party!

Intimate Dinners

For a complimenting dining component we suggest our black Nova dining table with black Ivy chairs. Designed for fun you can muddle up the dining experience by mixing in some Mila oblong ottomans in olive and mustard amongst the black dining chairs.

Opulent coloured napkins, oversized table cloths and gold cutlery can further enrich the look. Complimented with stemless amber water glasses and bespoke glassware will add a modern elegance to this warm winter dining experience.

Now you’re ready to lay the table with course after course of delicious food and full bodied wines. Let the good conversations ensue, the engaging speeches commence and the music to play. Oh what a night!
